Washington CJTC annual Armed Security Officer Course

 

This course will allow the student to remain certified as an armed security officer through the state of Washington.

 

Previous armed Training required.

 

    What will be covered:

I. Sound judgment and preparedness

    a. Purpose of private security firearms training

    b. Important responsibilities for the armed security professional.

    c. Varieties of preparedness

    d. Elements of a decision to use deadly force

II. Use of Force

    a.The differences between law enforcement “duty to act” and private security

    b. How you may become the “aggressor”

    c. Your responsibilities after using deadly force.

    d. Criminal penalties for unlawful use of force

    e. Elements of shooting decisions.

    f. Importance of verbal identification and commands

    g. Elements of decision-making training

    h. Three conditions which must exist to justify the use of deadly force\

    i. Shooting decision scenarios

III. Basics of Marksmanship

    a. Proper grip

    b. Proper trigger control

    c. Proper sighting

    d. Proper stance

    e. Proper breathing

    f. Gun handling skills 

IV. Tactical Safety

    a. Low ready position

    b. Good sense tactics for the use of a firearm

  

This course adheres strictly to the CJTC Curriculum.

 

 

 

Annual Armed officer Course cost: $80.00 per student
